The Collectionnez-les tous ! geocache (GC51RXF) is a game played straight on the cache description: a hundred virtual geocoins appear there as the visits go by, spread over five rarities - common, uncommon, rare, very rare and legendary, the last showing up only once in a thousand times. Each of them comes round at least once a day, which makes you come back. Does that remind you of anything? The cache was placed by qgx, the creator of geocoins.io, and I like to say it is the ancestor of the game.

The listing collects favourite points, and the idea has spread as far as China, where Coin Collecting (GC7ZYQM) takes up the principle and thanks qgx by name (invisible, since the text is white on white, but the intention is there).

Twelve years on, the cache is still active, and its author did not stop there: we owe him the GeoAventure series, whose second episode was voted geocache of the week.
