The World's Largest Nano geocache (GC57VFG) is a curious, entertaining stop if you are crossing Kansas in the United States. Created by Dustin and Heather (ottieolsen), it upends the usual habits with a great deal of humour.
Normally a “nano” is the size of a pencil eraser. Here the idea is turned on its head! Fixed to a post out in open country, you will find a giant magnetic replica of that tiny container. Its unexpected size even leaves room for trackable items. The irony of the find surprises and amuses players who were expecting to look for a needle in a haystack.
Spotlighted as “geocache of the week” by Geocaching HQ in 2022, it has since drawn a great many visits and collected multiple favorites. Its logbook overflows with messages from geocachers won over by this original idea!
