The Three Sisters geocache (GC3T4H1) waits on top of a bridge pier planted in the middle of the Grand River, in southern Ontario. The "three sisters" that give it its name were raised in the middle of the 19th century for the Great Western Railway. The rails went with the line; the three piers stayed standing in the current.
Scouter_John warns that you first have to cross the river - wading it if the flow is very low, swimming otherwise - and then climb, life jacket on your back. He firmly advises against any attempt in high water, recommends going in pairs, and reassures you in his own way: "don't be afraid, it has been placed three times by an overweight 56-year-old man".
Rated T5, it can be done from May to October and draws only a handful of visitors a year. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in September 2021.
