Johnny Islands Throne Room Redue,due

The Johnny Islands Throne Room Redue,due geocache (GCB5ZCG) is in Bremerton, in Washington State in the United States. Since April 2025 it has sat within the fenced grounds of a plant nursery that hosts it during opening hours. From a distance all you see is a portable site toilet. It takes a card the size of a bank card to get into Johnny's, and the inside turns out to be far better fitted out than the front.

This Johnny is on its second life, and the "Redue,due" of the title says so in its own way. The first version (GC57ZJR) was placed on 30 June 2014 near Centralia, about a hundred kilometres to the south. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in February 2018, noting that a site cabin rarely offers such an experience. It is archived today: Johnny moved north, and reopened in the spring of 2025.

Behind the geocaching name "goblindust" is Scott Meyers, who has been geocaching since December 2003. He is no engineer, but he takes apart and rebuilds everything he can lay a hand on, hunts down his parts at flea markets, and sums up his method in one sentence: "the main thing is that the cache be different [from other caches]". His boxes pile up the favourites. One more rule comes on top of the nursery's own: photograph nothing, the surprise is made to be discovered on the throne.
