Motocyklová

The Motocyklová geocache (GCAY4V9) is parked on a street in central Prague, a stone's throw from the head of Franz Kafka. No micro wedged under a bench here: the container is a whole two-wheeler, standing in plain sight among the street furniture.

It all starts with the number plate, which reads "GC-Cache". Then you run your hand over the bodywork, the underside and the wheel arches in search of magnets, until the combination lock of the top box appears. Inside, glowing letters spell out "Moto-Cache-Praha", a fine sight for anyone coming by night, among the swaps and the trackables. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in January 2025, before taking it up again in its selection of the year.

Its owner, chorchoj, is no beginner: we also owe him Vaclavske namesti, on Wenceslas Square, which Czech geocachers hold to be the most favourited cache in the country. Motocyklová has taken the same path and now ranks among the most favourited caches in the world.
