The Repeat After Me // Electronic Gadget Cache geocache (GCB7ENP) was placed on 18 May 2025 by CacheCrikey in Krambach, a village of fewer than four hundred people in Australia. What awaits the geocacher at the end of the road is not a box, but a machine.

The principle is “Simon Says” gone electronic: the device plays a sequence of lights and sounds, you have to repeat it exactly, and it keeps getting longer. Everything was built by hand by the owner and his father, after days of trial and error, until the sounds and the flashing lights fell into place. Getting through the sequence gives a hint leading to the final container.

Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week on 1 October 2025, seeing in it a work of art worth the trip out to that remote corner of New South Wales.

Fancy a warm-up for the real quiz? Here is a question:

Which memory game does the machine of this cache borrow its principle from?

The answer : Simon Says
