The Bydir's 10.000ste geocache (GC6XWCC) is a present between geocachers. In 2016 the Bydir couple were closing in on their ten thousandth find, and there was no question of marking the occasion with a plain tube dropped in some random spot. It would be a cache "with a twist".
The result looks like an ornamental birdhouse, a bird perched on a branch, echoing Bydir's profile picture. You think finding the cache is going to be easy but, when you open the bottom, dozens of identical tubes come tumbling out, and you have to check them one by one to lay your hands on the logbook. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in April 2025, before including it in its selection of the year's best.
