The GeoTour GA52: Heel Gesleutel 2 geocache (GC9223F) hides east of Amsterdam, at the foot of a six-metre steel silhouette perched on stilts. Rob Logister's Sleutelbeeld, given to the municipality by Amnesty International and dedicated to the Burmese prisoner of conscience Myo Min Zaw, since released, carries some thirty thousand keys on chains. "Keys can close doors, but also open them; imprison or set free", the sculptor sums up.
The owner took the artist at his word: among the thousands of keys he attached a padlock, and you have to find the one that opens it. No hint, and a great deal of patience required. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in February 2024, then kept it among its eight favourites of the year.
