Het Escapehouse

The Het Escapehouse geocache (GCB4WBN) fits inside a wooden house standing in front of a real one, in the Netherlands: its owners reproduced their own home in miniature to turn it into a cache. To open the two doors you first have to dial the lock code, obtained by adding 1 to each digit of the house number.

Inside you find a complete interior - furniture, figurines, details everywhere - and twelve switches. A note stuck inside the door asks twelve questions about this little world: each right answer tells you whether to flip a switch up or down. That makes a code appear on a screen set in the roof dormers, and that code opens the logbook compartment.

The whole thing was built by the pupils of a school together with the owner and placed in March 2025. Geocaching HQ made it its geocache of the week in November 2025, then kept it in its selection of the ten caches of the year.
