The La Vigie geocache (GC7A2) is the oldest geocache in France still active. Hidden on 22 April 2001 by Friso near a summit of the Esterel massif, it has become an essential stop for anyone interested in the history of the game in the country. It is part of the game's heritage in France.

Two ways up, spelled out from the start: an approach by car that leaves a kilometre on foot, or an hour of steep climbing straight up from the sea. The owner warns that you need a good map to have any hope of getting close by car, along with proper shoes and long trousers.

Once at the top, you can enjoy an exceptional spot, taking in the view over the Esterel massif and the Côte d'Azur — a panorama full of colour.
