The FIRST GERMANY geocache (GC77) is the first geocache in Germany, hidden on 2 October 2000 by Ferenc (later adopted by BlackyV) south-east of Berlin. More than 4,300 finds and 1,000 favorite points. In 2000, the box was buried half a metre down: you had to get a shovel out to dig it up, sign it and bury it again.
In 2013, BlackyV no longer wished to look after it and put out a call for someone to adopt the cache; the adoption never happened, and it ended in the listing being archived.
