The TB-Schlosshotel Rasthof Stillhorn Ost geocache (GC167KK) is a trackable hotel hidden by Mystphi in October 2007 at the Stillhorn East rest area, along the A1 motorway, one of Germany's main north-south routes. It is among the most favorited geocaches in the world.
Everything is designed for the traveller in a hurry: fifty metres of walking at most from the car park, reachable from both directions of traffic, and — the owner notes in all seriousness — manageable in office wear. Trackables pass through by the thousand, hence its reputation as a European hub for travel bugs.
The camouflage is clever: presented as a “5-star luxury hotel” for trackables, the box comes with protection against “muggles”, the non-players. To open the main door, the geocacher first has to go round to the back of the structure — the “reception” — and get a code from a small mechanical “receptionist”, using the decimals of the GPS coordinates.
