Walk of Lego

The Walk of Lego geocache (GC9J866) was placed on 9 November 2021 by Bernd2010 at the foot of the Boulevard der Stars, the German Walk of Fame. The star you look for there honours no actor, though: it was added in memory of a geocache, "Lego – einer ist zuviel" (GC13Y2Y), which had become the most favourited geocache in the world. It was archived on 21 October 2021: the giraffe, damaged, was to be replaced, and Legoland did not want the new one to meet the same fate because of the cache.

Three weeks later, Bernd2010 gave the departed cache its star, and its container picks up the wink of its elder. People still come to be photographed with the giraffe - the new one -, and Geocaching HQ devoted its own geocache of the week article to the memorial in July 2025. As for the Boulevard der Stars, it has had no new star since 2016, and the city gave up renovating it in 2024; fingers crossed that this does not affect the cache.
