The See'n Sucht geocache (GC8JHXD) hides in Dornumersiel, one of the oldest harbours on the German coast. It is rather unique, and rather incredible.
The cache is built into a sculpture of waves, with a gull in flight, a sailing boat and two fish turning at its foot. The owner knew the craftsman who made it, and the craftsman offered to work a hiding place into it. At the back, look for a drawer that opens only to a magnet. The letters GC engraved at the base of the work are the only clue left to passers-by.
It became geocache of the week in August 2023.
