The The Doctor Is In! geocache (GC6YDR6) is a full-size TARDIS placed north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, by Doctor Dolittle in July 2017. It has gathered more than 1,200 favorite points.
What looks like an ordinary Yale lock is in fact a memory game: four lights flash in increasingly long sequences that the geocacher has to reproduce without a mistake. The reward is as much sound as sight — the unmistakable groan of the TARDIS handbrake, then doors opening onto an interior that is “bigger on the inside”.
It was named geocache of the week in September 2018.
