The Odeon of Herodes Atticus geocache (GC50NAA) was hidden by papalia on the south-west slope of the Acropolis of Athens, facing the stone theatre built in 161 AD by Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife Regilla.

The monument seated 5,000 under a roof of Lebanon cedar; it stood intact until it was destroyed by the Heruli in 267. The tiers and the orchestra were restored in Pentelic marble in the 1950s, and the Odeon has since been the main venue of the Athens Festival.

As for the search, the cache is a clever one: in plain sight, yet quite invisible to muggles. I'll say no more!
